Nice to Meet You

My name is Tetiana Brotherton. I am an Integrative Counsellor and I apply theories and principles of Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA) in my practice.

I believe that open and trustworthy therapeutic relationships are essential to facilitate inner healing and enhance wellbeing. It is all about our collaboration in exploring and working through your life problems and aiming to achieve a better outcome which will work best for you. I conduct face-to-face therapy in the centre of Stockport. I also offer remote sessions (online and telephone).

I provide a warm, non-judgmental, safe, and confidential space where you can be listened to empathically and empowered to move forward wherever you would like to be, where you have the freedom to explore in depth your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and behaviours.

I have experience in working with clients on various issues such as depression and anxiety, suicidal ideation, childhood trauma, bereavement and loss, menopause, low self-esteem, historical abuse, relationship issues with significant people, challenges of immigration, work-related issues, body image, shame, boundaries, and attachment, etc. I can help you to change your negative way of thinking by using a range of different techniques and skills tailored to meet your individual needs.

If you feel as though you want to change or overcome something in your life, but you are stuck, depressed and anxious, or you would like to move on but keep ending up repeating similar patterns of behaviour, or some events from the past keep interfering in your current life preventing you from living it to the maximum and fulfilling your true potential, I can support and help you. I’ll meet you wherever you are in your own process and guide you to a better understanding of yourself, your feelings, and emotions.
